Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer. She is gaining recognition for her outstanding performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. The movie Piano has won several awards for her which included an Oscar. Her career in acting started on Broadway with a variety of Broadway and Off Broadway productions. Since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one her ears, but this was not enough to stop the actress from following her dreams. The college she attended was drama before moving from Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dream. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut after an unplanned meeting and Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. She moved from New York to Los Angeles and tried to get film parts. In Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. Since her time in Los Angeles, Holly Hunter has been featured in a variety of television movies and series. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame famous person as well as a winner of the Women in Film Lucy Award.
